Whether a Hollywood celebrity, an Instagram influencer, or a Silicon Valley billionaire, these celebrities have one thing in common: they currently follow or have followed a one meal a day diet.
Although the purposes of following the OMAD diet differ, the results are always similar. Let’s see what this OMAD diet is all about – and the celebrities who got great results from it.
What is OMAD diet?
OMAD means “one meal a day” and is a severe form of intermittent fasting, which means you have a fasting window that allows you to have just one meal every day.
The best part is you can choose what to eat during your eating window, and when you can have it. Some prefer having their meal in the morning and some like to have it later in the day.
OMAD is very similar to the warrior diet of intermittent fasting, which has a 20-hour fasting and a 4-hour eating window, but you ideally consume your food during a narrower period of 1-2 hours on the OMAD diet.
During your fasting hours, you can only drink water, tea, black coffee, or herbal teas according to your taste. But some prefer to add electrolyte drinks, low-calorie green smoothies, or bone broth to add some taste to their long fasting window without spoiling the fat burning and weight loss effects of fasting.

Which celebrities eat one meal a day?
The Magic Mike star has gained huge popularity throughout the years both with his talented acting skills… and his very shirtless performances.
It’s not easy to be known for your abs and under the spotlight in Hollywood. Channing Tatum’s fitness secret is not a particular list of foods but instead restricting his eating period to just a few hours a day.
Other than that, he enjoys any food he likes: pizza, burgers, sweets, or any tasty food you can imagine. “Life is too short to miss out on the beautiful things like a double cheeseburger” is like a motto for Channing, who describes himself as a “cheeseburgers and beer guy”.
Brooke Shields is the epitome of ageless beauty. The 57-year-old actress and model is also a mother of two. She doesn’t deny the fact that staying in shape is hard work.
In the past, she revealed that she followed a one meal a day diet when working on set, and it brought her great fitness results. She eats only breakfast on working days and doesn’t eat anything for the rest of the day.
She added that avoiding food at night is also beneficial in protecting her vocal cords.
She might not apply OMAD currently, but is still a follower of less intense intermittent fasting plans.
Been playing with fasting for some time. I do a 22 hour fast daily (dinner only), and recently did a 3 day water fast. Biggest thing I notice is how much time slows down. The day feels so much longer when not broken up by breakfast/lunch/dinner. Any one else have this experience?

Whenever someone mentions eating one meal a day, Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter and Square comes to mind, as he is one of the leading advocates of the OMAD diet.
He has mentioned his love for eating only one meal a day on multiple sources, including his personal Twitter account.
Dorsey reports that he skips breakfast and lunch, and has only dinner between 6.30 and 9 pm. His meal plan mainly consists of proteins and vegetables.
The billionaire explains that he has a clearer mind through the OMAD diet, adding that his days feel longer and he can focus better on his work without dividing the day up with meals.
Former British actress and model and current Instagram influencer Elizabeth Hurley has always been known for her beauty.
In the past, she followed an OMAD diet to lose her baby weight after the birth of her son, Damien Hurley.
Eating only one full meal a day was an important part of her weight loss strategy to regain her gorgeous physique.
To sum up
Bear in mind that the OMAD diet is a very strict form of intermittent fasting and is not suitable for everybody.
You must already be an advanced intermittent faster and should always get permission from your doctor, as this type of eating pattern may lead to malnourishment and can have serious side effects on your health if not done properly.
