Deciding you’re going to do something is great, but what about finding motivation to actually do it? Working out regularly isn’t that easy anyway, but doing it on your own at home is even harder. If you’re having trouble setting up a home workout routine, make sure you’re not alone.

While these online tools give the freedom and flexibility to exercise in the comfort of your home or anywhere you want, you still have to motivate yourself to open YouTube or click your fitness app.
Luckily, we’re on hand with our list of easy tips to help you set up a workout routine – and they’re equally effective if you feel like you’re losing motivation to work out at home.
1. Define your reason to work out
Whether you’re working out just to feel comfortable in your body, preparing your body for a summer vacation, or training for a marathon, make sure you have your personal reason to work out using a particular routine.
This personal reason is your goal. Always remember that. Write your goal on a Post-it and stick it somewhere you can see while you’re working out.
2. Create your own workout space
Find a space in your home to work out. This place doesn’t have to be very spacious, just make sure you can fit your gym mat and move your body comfortably.
A special place just for your workouts will help you to get in the right mindset and minimize distractions. Make it a joyful place so you feel motivated to go to your personal workout space.
3. Schedule your workouts in advance
Plan your workouts at the beginning of the week. Set a time for your workouts and note this schedule in your agenda. Try to stick to your program as much as possible.

4. Listen to music or a podcast
Create a motivating playlist for your workouts based on your taste, or find an online playlist you enjoy.

If you’re not into listening to music, choose a podcast on a subject you’re interested in to listen to while working out. Make your workout time a part of the day you long for.
You don’t have to be physically close to your friends. Find a few friends who are willing to work out at their homes.
Create a communication group to share your workout routines, your fitness goals, and your feelings after every workout, and to support each other.
At the end of every day, ask if everyone has completed their daily workout routine.
