Although the purposes of following the OMAD diet differ, the results are always similar. Let’s see what this OMAD diet is all about – and the celebrities who got great results from it.
What is OMAD diet?
OMAD means “one meal a day” and is a severe form of intermittent fasting, which means you have a fasting window that allows you to have just one meal every day.
The best part is you can choose what to eat during your eating window, and when you can have it. Some prefer having their meal in the morning and some like to have it later in the day.
OMAD is very similar to the warrior diet of intermittent fasting, which has a 20-hour fasting and a 4-hour eating window, but you ideally consume your food during a narrower period of 1-2 hours on the OMAD diet.
During your fasting hours, you can only drink water, tea, black coffee, or herbal teas according to your taste. But some prefer to add electrolyte drinks, low-calorie green smoothies, or bone broth to add some taste to their long fasting window without spoiling the fat burning and weight loss effects of fasting.

Whenever someone mentions eating one meal a day, Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter and Square comes to mind, as he is one of the leading advocates of the OMAD diet.
He has mentioned his love for eating only one meal a day on multiple sources, including his personal Twitter account.
Dorsey reports that he skips breakfast and lunch, and has only dinner between 6.30 and 9 pm. His meal plan mainly consists of proteins and vegetables.
The billionaire explains that he has a clearer mind through the OMAD diet, adding that his days feel longer and he can focus better on his work without dividing the day up with meals.
Elizabeth Hurley
Former British actress and model and current Instagram influencer Elizabeth Hurley has always been known for her beauty.
In the past, she followed an OMAD diet to lose her baby weight after the birth of her son, Damien Hurley.
Eating only one full meal a day was an important part of her weight loss strategy to regain her gorgeous physique.
